Arc's summer activities for young people aged 12+ at The Malthouse
Monday 9 to Friday 13 August: Summer Uni 'Make-a-Play-in-a-Week'
10am to 4pm daily (bring packed lunch)
This week is part of the Barking & Dagenham Summer University. We will devise and create an original piece of drama using the Malorie Blackman trilogy of books 'Noughts and Crosses' as our inspiration. Book online by visiting: http://www.futureversity.org/ or call Arc on 020 8594 1095.
Wednesday 18 August: Mask Workshop
1
to 5pm
This workshop will introduce basic techniques in mask work: how to create characters, how to express various emotions, have a dialogue and tell a story without words. We will use character masks, which offer comic opportunity as well as a medium for more powerful and moving scenes.
Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 August: Moving Pieces Workshop
10am to 5pm (bring packed lunch)
Moving Pieces are a professional theatre company that work with young people throughout London. Join Moving Pieces for a two-day workshop, in which you will devise and share your own story through movement, sound, circus skills and reflection.
Workshops are open to anyone over 12. To book your place, call Danielle McIlven at Arc on 020 8594 1095 or email danielle@arctheatre.com
