Arc Theatre joins Barking & Dagenham Good Causes Lottery!
Barking & Dagenham has become the first London Borough to launch an online community lottery to help financially support local good causes, and we are delighted to announce that Arc will benefit from every ticket purchased in our name!
Tickets for the Barking & Dagenham Lottery will cost just £1, with 60p going towards local good causes, compared to just 28p in the pound for the National Lottery. You don't need to be a Borough resident to purchase tickets for the weekly draw, which offers a £25,000 jackpot prize, and smaller prizes of £2,000, £250, £25 or three free tickets. There's a 1 in 50 chance of winning a prize each week, which means an excellent chance of return in comparison to the National Lottery's 1 in 14 million!
The Barking & Dagenham lottery hopes to raise £200,000 for local community groups over the next four years, and each time a player purchases a ticket they will have the chance to select a specific local good cause they want to support, with the chosen group receiving 50p, and 10p going to a collective community fund.
The first weekly Barking & Dagenham Lottery draw will take place on Saturday 21 October at 8pm - and you can purchase your tickets online here:
