Theatre for Youth Inclusion

Stereo in performance
Stereo in performance

We create powerful drama for vulnerable young people. We work with underachievers, persistent truants, those excluded or at risk of exclusion, young offenders and many others in a range of challenging social settings. Drama ignites imagination, nurtures confidence and trust, inspires potential and encourages belonging and responsibility.

We offer new opportunities for young people to participate in the arts, including:

  • Stand-alone or series of drama-based workshop programmes
  • DVDs and resource material
  • INSET and training for staff

Testimonials

"By introducing Arc to a group of children excluded from school who suffered from low self-esteem and behavioural problems, we succeeded in bringing a much-needed sense of pride and self-confidence in their abilities."

"I thought the realism in Stereo captured the young people in a unique way ... it left you thinking, which I'm sure is the same for the majority of young people in the room. I feel it enables young people to evaluate the negative lifestyle in a real way as, unfortunately, they may know of a 'Carlton' character in their own world and see the outcome of their negative choices. Positively it helps young people to QUESTION themselves and those around them."

Member of staff, Wandsworth Youth Offending Team

"Thank you for allowing young people to experience 'real' theatre dealing with 'real' issues using the voice of their own experiences. We look forward with anticipation to future performances and in the meantime will be urging others passionately to go and see this!"
Leila Alkunshalie - KS3 English Teacher, Pupil Referral Unit
