Now in its third year, funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and London Borough of Barking & Dagenham MOPAC, Arc’s peer mentoring project took time out for some team-bonding this summer, with additional support from the Jack Petchey Foundation.

With a three-day activity residential course at PGL Liddington near Swindon in Wiltshire, our young female participants took part in a range of fun and challenging activities on land and water, including abseiling, canoeing, zip wire, aeroball, giant swing, archery and first aid!

“I really enjoyed the giant swing!  We had to work hard as a team to make it work, but when it was your turn it was amazing – being that high in the air!  I didn’t think I could do it, but I did and I’d love to do it again!”

“Canoeing was brilliant!  We were all scared of getting wet at first, but by the end we were all in the water having fun, even the girls who didn’t want to!”
