Natalie Smith

Education Director
( She/Her )

Natalie joined Arc in 1992. She has performed in and facilitated over 50 of the Company’s productions and programmes and has played everything from a tooth fairy to a police officer!

Natalie devised and led Arc’s award-winning female empowerment programmes including Girls Have Their Say (funded by the Home Office CAGGK), Finding the Words and Raised Voices (both funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, and subsequently by Barking & Dagenham Council), and continues to develop new and counter narratives to challenge Violence Against Women and Girls, abuse, misogyny, and Domestic Violence. Natalie is a trained Women’s Aid ‘Expect Respect’ advocate.

Most recently Natalie has been working on Arc’s award-winning Unlimited counter-hate programme for primary schools, originally commissioned in 2018 for the Home Office ‘Building a Stronger Britain Together’ programme and currently funded annually by the Mayor of London’s Shared Endeavour Fund, which aims to create more resilient communities and stand up to extremism in all its forms.

For programme development including schools, training, and corporate, public, voluntary sector and community outreach work, contact Natalie at nat@arctheatre.com or call 07483 342158.
