No Excuses

Arc’s healthy relationships performance programme has been created by our Education Director, Natalie Smith – a trained Women’s Aid ‘Expect Respect’ advocate, who facilitates the work in schools, joined by Arc’s professional, highly-skilled actors.  No Excuses uses a range of creative techniques, including powerful live theatre featuring the #Consequences scripted piece by Arc’s Resident Writer Clifford Oliver, short films and discussion to reinforce positive messages – supporting young people to develop new and counter narratives to challenge Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), abuse, misogyny, and Domestic Violence. The programme has been specially devised to support schools to successfully deliver the new Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) curriculum, including teaching about pornography, explicit images and nudes, sexting, cyberbullying and sexual abuse, in contrast to healthy relationships, positive lifestyles, respect and consent. If you’d like to talk to us about how to engage your audience on issues that really matter, please contact nita@arctheatre.com or call 07483 342158.
